Fix on Failure (is it doomed to fail?)

Fix on Failure....

Today I spent 10 full hours just attempting to install WIN9... on a Pentium 90Mhz computer. I tried WIN98, but there was not enough disk space...

So I went back to WIN95. OK. Installed but Sound card NOT! CD ROM NOT! But most WIN Apps OK. 8 hours later I have a system that can talk to the network, can talk to the Internet, can read old data but CAN NOT TALK TO ME!

Sound card is No Op...Call the support staff tomorrow...

The point being, Fix on Failure...Will clog the support network. You think Xmas is a big call in time for support, wait and learn YOU will be on hold, for 4 months, 10 day, 5 min....

Get your upgrades now, FOF is a farce.....

Things will get worse before they get better.....

Sounds like you're having as much fun as I did upgrading to 98. Er scratch upgrading and substitute changing. First load completely locked up computer, took full system reboot to get running again, lasted five minutes, crashed again. Another full system reboot. Third time was charm, ran long enough to get some patches downloaded, then screwed up and downloaded y2k patch, full reboot again. back up and running but now my sound is nonfuntional too. Let me know if they solve the problem, thanks, Nikoli
