The flock of ibis shown last week were working their way down the river, but they were keeping a good distance from me. So I was quite surprised when the imatures landed near my feet while I was enjoying a shore break. Something always interesting happens when I get out early exploring with my camera.

Very nice and sharp pix of an ibis. Well done.

Larry, you have once again succeeded in making me feel like a rank amatuer. This is an absolutely beautiful photo. I like the composition quite a bit and I really like the expression on his face. The gleam in his eye (catchlight) makes him look alive. Plenty of detail in the dark feathers. The white feathers look a little hot, but that's probably just the scan. It's also nice and sharp. Great job! Maybe I should start getting up a little earlier. :)

Good exposure, nice and sharp, great depth of field control, good subject, and the drop of water on the beak is a nice touch. The out of focus leaves bother me a little, but their color makes a contribution, so on the whole, I think they're a plus.

All I can really do is second Joe Cheatwood's comments. Once again, you have given us an image with very little room for critique.
