"Fact and Fiction: Local Readiness for Y2K" presented by Raymond Neff VP-IS - Case Western, Cleveland Division of Water, Social Security Administration, The Illuminating Company, Columbia Gas, and Parma Community General Hospital.

September 16 - 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Parma Regional Library, 7335 Ridge Road. Register by calling 440-885-5362, registration required.

I have no idea what to expect of this meeting. I found a well-hidden notice in the local weekly newspaper. So far, only 50 people registered.

Folks, Somewhere buried in my sig is the word "impulsive". I just e-d cmd0903 and asked him/her if the idea of a quick, short notice coffee get together around the Self Reliance Expo at the Berea Fairgrounds this weekend was a good idea. Mrs Driver and I are planning (NOT EARLY) arrival at the Expo on Sat. would REALLY like to do coffee/lunch or whatever in the area of the Expo. (There's everything from McD's to Friendly's to IHOP (I think) to Pizza Hut to Roadhouse (oy steak for breakfast, mmm not) etc. and they're all in the 2 minute to the fairgrounds area).

As I said we won't be geting there early. Something about Mrs. D being out of town at a class until Fri Nite. (Since she's flying in from Newark, she'll be fairly late(r than scheduled).
