Response to The word "art deco"

"Art Deco" was coined even later, in the 1960s. During the height of the Art Deco period, the style was called "modern" or "Moderne." As you probably know, it is derived from the title of the 1925 "Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes" held in Paris.
