For What It's Worth---Another Glimmer of Hope! (YGM) Sep 10, 18:51

I just an hour ago got off the phone from a business conversation w/ a man who's VERY connected to Banks and Gold. He's married to the daughter of a past President of the Royal Bank of Canada. The business deal involves arranging a $1.7 Million line of credit to pay the surtax to bring 218 tonnes of Gold out of Indonesia. This Gold is payment for technology for some type of Methane Plants and construction.

Anyway this is way over my head but I do have contacts w/ $$$ so I called him to talk. ----This is what this man knows? or believes.** Gold at $2000.oo p/oz by 2005 and U.S. dollar at $ 0.25.** Y2k will devastate Banks and the entire economy.**GATA is entirely correct in it's assumptions re: Gold Manipulation. **Gold backed currency is coming and the Euro $$ will be first in line.**And last but not least that Banks primarily Swiss ARE trying to accumulate as much physical Gold as can be had before Jan 2000.

I believe all of what he said to me as I did before this conversation. Welcome to YGMs' "Believe It Or Not"

As always Buy Physical and GO GATA and Gold--YGM

This does seem to fit in with the recent Sintra NWO conferenece where all this was discussed in detail... I've heard from other sources that there are plans to solidify (presumably by gold backing) 3 currencies

the euro

the yen

the dollar

in descending order of importance ... i.e. the dollar is lat on the list...

the usa is just a mountain of debt at the moment - remember Ross Perot's constant mantra?

re-read Harry Schultzes last newsletter, and take a look at John Whitley's NWO web-site...

it's all fitting into place

Russia is accumulating gold like crazy

India and China announced yesterday that they plan to increase their piddling gold reserves (well, in the case of China anyway :) )

The Swiss have abandoned their gold sales...

This only leaves the Brits foolish enough to be selling gold now... BUT... I think they have purposely been falling on their sword in order to drive down the price so that they can accumulate through the LBMA back door...ten to one they are selling it to their cronies and it will effectively make it's way back to the exchequeor...

When the US dollar tanks, the Japanese yen will rule.

A great exodus of funds will flow from the US stock market into the Japanese market, and THEN a great awakening will cause BIG problems in the NYSE.

Are you ready for the plunge?

so I can sell my physical at $500/oz. in todays dollars?

-- Porky (Porky@in.cellblockD), September 11, 1999.

Porky,

Good point.

-- maggie (aaa@aaa.com), September 11, 1999.

Why would you want to SELL physical now, when it has been driven artificially DOWN - now is the time to be converting your digital 0's and 1's into GOLD EAGLES :)

Or do you have faith that the banks will make it?

If the dollar drops to a quarter of it's value now, you Gold Eagle will still ahave intrinsic value and may be exchanged for yen and euros... you need to put your thinking cap on Porky and start playing poker here... it's all a game, and 99.9% will probably lose...

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), September 11, 1999.

Andy: One minor correction: 99% ALWAYS lose. :-)

-- A (A@AisA.com), September 11, 1999.

Correctimundo!!!!!!!

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), September 11, 1999.

Andy,

Good article.I have a question on the chance of the goverment confiscating private gold holdings but,not investmeent gold coins,as was the case in 1933.If they did it before, why not now?

-- maggie (aaa@aaa.com), September 11, 1999.

Andy, correction, should have read investment grade gold coins.

-- maggie (aaa@aaa.com), September 11, 1999.

Well Maggie that's how a lot of dealers make their money - by touting these investment grades... I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, and if you have any it's not to late to replace them with gold eagles - which, by the way, are USA legal tender - valued at $50 fiat bits of toilet paper - I do not believe these will ever be confiscated although I would put nothing past Bubba and Bubbette...

You can always do some midnight gardening Maggie :)

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), September 11, 1999.

Andy, weren't they also USA legal tender gold coins that were called in? If one were to have old USA investment grade numismatic gold coins, why would they not be a good investment?

My cats dig in the garden and are thinking of using a metal detector, they are sneaky little devils.

Hey Andy, did the govt seize people's private jewelry, like gold bangles and such? What about rolling those ingots into bangles?

-- (nobody@nowhere.com), September 11, 1999.

I wish I had some ingots :)

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), September 11, 1999.

Maggie,

Check this site out and see if you are willing to exchange your gold for counterfeit money. http://members.aol.com/FTUN/index.html

Andy, Be honest now, are you in any way shape or form associated with any company or organization that sells gold in any physical form?

-- Richard (trubeliever@webtv.net), September 11, 1999.

Andy, Be honest now, are you in any way shape or form associated with any company or organization that sells gold in any physical form? I'll bet you don't answer this question.

OT post -- Andy, had to think of you when we read this! sssssssstsssssk!~~~>

Diners scream in terror as snakes slither on floor

HONG KONG (AP) - Diners screamed in terror and leapt on tables as snakes suddenly slithered across the floor during lunch in a Chinese restaurant, Hong Kong newspapers reported Saturday.

About 100 customers were in the restaurant on Friday when several men, believed to be debt-collectors, released the snakes and some grasshoppers from two bags, the papers said.

Police had to call a snake handler, who rounded up 28 nonpoisonous snakes.

One woman was so scared that she had to be carried out weeping on the back of a fellow patron.

Police said they did not know who threw the reptiles or what was their motive.
----------------------------------------------------------

Ha! There's a job fer ya, Andy, explaining 'bout grasshoppers, snakes, reptiles, and motives! ;^)

-- Ashton & Leska in Cascadia (allaha@earthlink.net), September 11, 1999.

Maggie - LOL - yup, cats are devious creatures at the best of times! Wouldn't put it past them!

Ashton and Leska - I like it... very apropos :)

And Richard,

This is my mindset... btw the simple answer is no, I'm just Joe Schmo that works in IT - several years of which were spent working at VISA. Consequently I have an intimate knowledge of how the financial IT systems work on a worldwide basis.

I would urge you to read "VISA is toast" in the banking archives. I would urge you to read all my posts on banking, especially the recent ones on the opinion of the BIS which is the Swiss head honcho bank of International settlements - summarised in the recent Harry Schultz newsletter -

All point to one inevitable conclusion - all bank accounts and digital representtions of wealth built up over a lifetime are at grave risk...

IMHO the banking system of systems will hose monumentally at rollover and may or may not EVER get sorted out... more likely the latter as in NEVER...

THAT is why I have taken a layman's interest in the gold scene over the last six-nine months or so...

It comes from a professional perspective...

How to preserve wealth, and possibly even profit from this once in a lifetime singularity, in the next three months...

Richard - leave your money in the bank - I really don't care about cynical skeptics such as yourself - I DO care about the vast majority of folks on this forum and if the net stays up next year I don't want to be able to say "I told you so" to all who have lost their 401k's, stocks and life savings.

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), September 11, 1999.

Yes, Richard, you nailed that one BIG TIME!

If you rearrange the letters of Andy's name, it spells out the company he works for that sells gold at a 50% mark-up (giving our clever lad a 25% commission!) to spot, as well as their 800-number, and web-site address.

Now, get to work. That's A --- N --- D --- Y.

Let's not let anymore clever goldmeisters put one on over on our Chuckie ever again, o vigilant ones!

(Hey, for real, remember that Debunkie First-Letter-of-each-word- spells-"Doomers-Suck"-or-something-similar scam post that someone caught real quick several months ago? Who was that?)

-- jor-el (jor-el@krypton.uni), September 11, 1999.

Mark,

Thanks for the link,a long read but, very interesting and thought provoking!

-- maggie (aaa@aaa.com), September 11, 1999.

When I read Porky's post I took it as hypothetical question, he was drawing a comparison between the the possible $2,000 gold by 2005 and the devaulation of the U.S. dollar, not in the literal sense of selling gold now.

Porky, was I correct in my assumption?

-- maggie (aaa@aaa.com), September 11, 1999.

Correct-o-mundo Miz Maggie. I wouldn't sell physical for fiat for many years to come, may do some trading up tho. If I spend anything, it will be my 40% junk.
