First I had to learn what a "debunker" was. Now that I know, I realize what a confused person he is. It is sad that common sense appears to be a missing ingredient from his ingegrity basket.

Old Git,

On the other hand, we have your comparison of forum "trolls" with the Nazi brownshirts. Funny what a difference in perspective makes.

Regards,

Well, . . .I gotta admit the greatly expanded "Flying Piggy" awards page had me rolling.

(Can you imagine the time it took to collect all those photos?)

Another question: How come I haven't heard about an equivalent "doomer" site lampooning the "pollies?" Did I miss something?

:)

Just one Old Git. I can find lots of examples why doomers are not to be believed.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), September 10, 1999.

The truth in anything is there for anyone to find for themselves. I have no need for thought police to tell me who or what to believe. Let's keep this forum a place for all to make up their own minds, please.

-- Barb (awaltrip@telepath.com), September 10, 1999.

By the way, forum participants and moderators, I think this post is worthy of a delete. I see no connection to Year 2000 issues except to point out negative remarks made by others on another forum. For what purpose? So we can truly know for ourselves? Come on...

Maria, its a fact, babydoll. Would you like Linkmeister to provide proof?

What a bit of logical repose! Do I understand you correctly? you said "one example of why the debunkers are not to be believed"

O.k., so many doomers made predictions about dates in 99 including sept 9. Alright, now they were dead wrong. But they still want you to believe their premise of y2k being a massive disruption.

Lets see...... NO prediction made to date by doomers has come close to the hype.....but the pollys (read REALISTS) are not to be believed?!?

(BTW a@a.a I loved your Dec post of "just a few more days to Eurochaos". Mind pointing that one out for the world to see?)

-- Jacque U. Lahr (coolhumorman@resent.presents.org), September 10, 1999.

Jacque: I do remember making the "just a few more days to Eurochaos" as part of a post on someone's thread back then. As you are aware, the unveiling of the Euro did not go without a hitch, although I agree it was far from chaos. There was a story of rioting over payroll problems, reports of large erroneous EFT transactions, its still unclear just how smooth the process of clearing and settlements is going, the brunt of the Euro conversion is yet to come, and the value of the Euro currency has steadily plummeted since its introduction, and the time they spent on Euro code modifications subtracted from the attention they should have been giving to y2k (look at Italy for example). The Euro ain't out of the woods quite yet my friend.

"a", it looks like double-Decker has crawled back from under his rock, and is posting his usual crap. Did he ever come up with his economic treatise that he said he would write for you, or is that still "in work"?

Just curious....

King: I think he and Cherri are sharing the same quill.

LOL, Old Git, thanks for the post, I thought it was hilarious. I think I will run over there and tell them that THEY are being "watched" by paramiliary types wearing tin foil hats.... Regards,

-- FactFinder (FactFinder@bzn.com), September 10, 1999.

They're putting up this front of false bravado because they are starting to get really scared. I bet most of them are "Closet GI's" secretly stocking up in solitude when no one is watching. It must be hard to try to live a double life like that.

Come on out of the closet guys!!

-- @ (@@@.@), September 10, 1999.

Alright kids, time to go home now.

Debunker: "but it's Old Git who started it! She she did a Ding Dong Dash at our door!"

TB2Ker: "She did not! :-P"

Debunker: "Did too!! :-P"

TB2Ker: "Yer just jealous cuz Old Git can think, hit a button, chew gum and still run faster than you :-P"

Debunker: "Oh yeah? Well Mr. Decker can do even better! Wanna watch? :-P~~~ "

TB2Ker: "Yeah right, maybe if Maria chews his gum first, and cpr tells him what to think :-P

...really guys, get a grip.

-- Chris (#$%^&@pond.com), September 10, 1999.

wow chris you are so smart and funny, I can't wait to shove all the failed predictions of this apocalyptic goon board down your throats in 4 months! Talk about who is scared. Yet another failed prediction date, and so the "old git" (do you even know what a "git" is? putz) starts a thread to detract attention from it. Pointing the tin-foiled finger is an apt phrase for this loony bin.

-- Super Polly (FU_Q_y2kfreaks@hotmail.com), September 11, 1999.

"Git" is Cockney slang for geezer. With your all-encompassing knowledge, I presume you know what a Cockney is.

-- Lexi (co@gra.pher), September 11, 1999.

ya when your cock hangs down to your knees

-- Super Polly (fuq_U_y2kfreaks@hotmail.com), September 11, 1999.

Someone didn't do a very good job of impersonation. But then the doom idiots are NOT very technical to begin with. The motto is "we can't argue with the pollys so we will just try and make them look foolish".

Keep it up doom zombies, you bastards make me laugh!
