Poll says Y2K fears are ebbingThursday, 9 September 1999 23:13 (GMT)
(UPI Spotlight)
WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, (UPI) - Worries about Y2K computer problems seemed to be on the wane (Thursday). A Gallup poll commissioned by the National Science Foundation said that compared to a similar poll taken in December, most Americans don't expect any problems that do occur to last more than a few days, and fewer people plan to stockpile food, water and cash.

And the really mystifying part is that the poll results are of concern to Koskinen because people are becoming complacent. I guess he wants the concern to just simmer and not boil. Its had to simmer when you keep turning the heat off.o/xe?P+

There was a Zogby (sp?) a couple weeks back that was right the opposite of the Gallup poll. More people are stocking food, and more will be taking money out of the bank.

Polls - what are they good for? Absolutely nothing.
