Superior Colors

This is at 600 pixels by 396pixels. I tried to set jpeg to 50K, but I see that the quality of image has deteriorated compared to a jpeg at 156k. Am I preparing files in the wrong way? Or is the amount of info. in this image to much for creating a 50k file at those dimensions?

This is a very dense scene, and there is probably too much information to show properly at this size. (My image editor shows 116000 colours, which is a measure of detail). If you reduce the image dimensions this would allow an increase in the quality. You might also want to use the Unsharp Mask to enhance the edges before converting to Jpeg. This is really a Q&A best covered in the photo.net site.
