TB2000: 91 new threads yesterday; 96 today - More evidence that Flint and the pollies are full of it

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A few months ago Flint and the pollies said "TB2000 is dying". Yet today we have so many threads its difficult to read them all, and the good ones scroll off before half of us have had a chance to respond.

So here we have another example of polly logic: a growing forum is a dying forum. Which brings up a good question: Why do pollys like Flint, Hoff and Anita S. prefer a "dying forum" over the Debunking Y2K forum? I mean, what the hey - do they think CPR is intellectually challenged or something?

Yea, that damned server too busy.

Not that many really OT, IMHO.

Looks like it's going to be a long time dying...

Tick... Tock... <:)00=

a@a.a,

CPR is a idiot and that sump tank is still down, ROTFLOL, and long may it stay that way.

'a':

Please point out where *I* said that the TB2000 forum was dying. I post as irregularly here as I always have, and the same holds true of the Debunking Y2k forum. I might add that I've ALSO stated on the Debunking Y2k forum that TB2000 will live LONG after 01/01/2000. I believe I stated that y'all could keep this up indefinitely.

Anita,

What De Bunnker? It's dead, long may it stay that way.

For anyone new to the forum, at the top of the main page is a link called "Recent Answers." Click on that link and it will take you to a page where there is a week's worth of posts that are currently being discussed.

Hey,

"a" (hole), I think just the opposite, you delusional doomer dummy. The reason there are so many threads is because the dumb doomer crowd is DESPERATELY CLAWING FOR ANY CONFIRMATION THEY CAN GET -- OR CREATE -- that Y2K is going to be a major problem in this country. That's why everytime the lights flicker somewhere one of you doomer idots post a thread telling about the power going out or whatever and asking "hey, you all think it's Y2K?" -- they seldom mention that the power DID come back on -- and that it's NOT the first time the power ever went out...

You doomer people are STUPID. Don't you realize that temporary problems and disruptions of various types have always been a part of life and business operations? Computer systems DO screw up -- every day -- and they are fixed and then brought back on line -- kind of like you doomer dummies do yourselves when your PC locks up. You reboot and go on with your pathetic life.

I predict this kind of pathos will get even worse as the year progresses -- with the doomer crowd grasping desparately for any shred of "hope" that their "the end is near" garbage will "save" them from life as they know it continuing into the next decade. Kind of like a drowning person clutching desparately to anything they can grab.

Pathetic. YOu doomer people are pathetic. This post is an example -- "a" (hole) claiming that the QUANTILY of threads on this forumn "proves" what a big deal Y2K is RIGHT NOW rather than examining what the QUALITY of the threads posted are -- but then I've read few post from the doomer crowd exhibiting much in the way of well thought out and reasoned prose. What can a person expect from such pathetic psychopathology as exist in the minds of the doomers? Not much...and much too much of the wrong stuff.

Cracker, can you read ????

By your logic, "a," the National Enquirer must be an excellent source of news. If I recall, Flint pointed out the quality of the forum was declining... not necessarily the quantity.

Hey Cracker, Decker, Y2k Pro, Maria - care to answer my question of Why you prefer a "dying forum" over the Debunking Y2K forum?

You look really brilliant hanging out here, with a group of what you call "idiots, morons, delusional nuts, stupid freaks, dumb a-holes, paranoid lunatics," etc.

Just MHO...

-- a (a@a.a), September 09, 1999.

...Correction please. I have never called any of you an a-hole. Thank you.
