A loose translation of above: "Calling all ham radio operators interested in forming a Y2K NET (repeated 2x) ----- from KG4DHJ. Anyone interested? (repeated 2x)"

This is an announcement that all those hams (and prospective hams) interested in developing alternate wireless communications in case Y2K results in a loss of the "land line" (=telephone service.)

An identical post is being placed in the Preparation Forum. It is this latter forum where you should post your answers. DO NOT POST ANY ANSWERS HERE. THIS POST IS SIMPLY TO ALERT YOU ALL TO GO TO THE PREPARATION FORUM WHERE WE WILL 'CONDUCT BUSINESS.'

Again, THIS MAIN FORUM IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THE TECHNICAL ISSUES WE WILL CONSIDER IN SETTING UP THE NET.
