I am costing for an iMac-based system in a small centre for profoundly handicapped adults, to updade one which was previously run via PC. Does anyone know for sure if -

1) Mac click-switch interfaces for ADB port will run on the USB port if I get an ADB/USB adaptor

2) If Kinesis Mac Interface 11 from Don Johnston, which they say "allows you to use PS/2 compatible mouse and keyboard devices with your Macintosh" (I'm thinking particularly of touch-screen and Roller Trackerball) will work if I use this into an ADB/USB adaptor?

Any help would not only save me going completely insane, it would be gratefully appreciated.

I don't know the answers to your questions - although I suspect the devices will work. If you have not already done it I think your best best bet would be to get in touch with the ADB/USB adaptor manufacturers directly.

You should also check out the Macintouch iMac pages at http://www.macintouch.com/imac.html they are a tremendous resource for USB peripheral questions. From their peripherals page : "According to Griffin, iMate is compatible with nearly all ADB devices, including copy-protection dongles.)" This is about the Griffin Technology iMate
