Westergard talked freely about y2k.Told people to stockpile meds if they had a medical problem. Said there will be a recession the first half of next year. Gasoline will be extremely high as in 1974 and there may be rationing. Very, very interesting

He, like so many others that make it to the lime light fall short of saying anything that would make any of the surfers of this forum sit up and notice. For instance when that little old lady called in and said, I have ALL MY MONEY tied-up in the stockmarket, should I be worryied about that. A perfect opp. to save the little old lady, but passed on so as not to be to panicky. Is it not interesting the pro- pendency for those who are Y2K savy to want to desperatly get out the word, but do we fully realize what that would mean...---...

Yes, Westergaard did the mellow approach. He did say he thought some things would be bad but he also said alot was fixed.

But its true if he told the people who called to do anything drastic he would be seen as a nutcase or told he was trying to cause a panic.

A pretty uneventfull interview but at least it caused more people to listen and learn.
