I was carried aboard an alien vessel, and was shown that all of the Doomer predictions will come true -- even those that haven't come to pass in the past. They have a Time Warp Northian Doom Ray that will fix all that.They have crystals, and chant, "Diane, Diane..." I had trouble figuring out who they were talking about. (owing to my limited non-Doomer mental capacity)
They say that all Doomers should gather up atop Mount Everest on December 31st...they'll take care of ya

Get ready fire breathers!My uncle (write to me at email if you want his name) worked for Westinghouse and NASA. He was once named scientist of the year for the state of Maryland. The last time I saw him before he died (spring of 98), there was a family discussion going on about aliens and UFO's. He sat quietly, and said "I KNOW that they are real." He was a very conservative man.
Since then I have read a book called "Alien Encounters" by Chuck Missler. Check it out. It's quite well documented, if that is what you are looking for.

Radar Imagery: Due to an agreement change with our commercial provider, we will have to restrict all radar imagery access to a "password only" basis. This change will take effect at 12:00 noon, August 30th (this Monday).
Some NLMOC fused data products and radars will not be updated. Current JMV thumbnails available on SIPRNET or on FNMOC's page.

Distribution of NEXRAD images is a bit complicated. Any weather station can distribute its own local area image without difficulty. However, images from other sites presents some problems. The only way we (Navy) has access to other NEXRAD sites, composite radar, or otherwise enhanced radar imagery is from a NEETS provider. There are six of these commercial firms (NEETS Providers) that collect the radar data from all sites, process it, and offer this service at a fee according to the number of users. Therefore we must restrict distribution of this data. Other sites such as Intellicast http://www.intellicast.com/LocalWeather /World/UnitedStates/MidAtlantic/Virginia/Norfolk/BaseReflectivity/ ) provide this data to the public, but it is delayed 15 to 30 minutes.

On the same ORBIT site, search for "fireballs" and find the report of all the sightings on Art Bell last night.
If you actually saw anything, report it to the National UFO Reporting Center or check later today or tomorrow and see if it is updated with all the reports from last night.

Yup, usually here early. My son and I did see a nice bright light before the sun was up this am, kind of thought it might be Venus, was in the eastern sky above horizon this am about 6AM ( I'm in Portland, OR area.)

Mara,Good point. It is interesting that two of the most prolific pollies were up at 2 o'clock in the morning reading this forum, and that this was the thread they both responded to. Actually, I don't recall either of them participating in well-constructed debates about Y2K, just lots of ridiculing and name-calling. I think this thread just made it a little easier for them.
It is weird, though. If I am an atheist what would I be doing at 2 o'clock in the morning reading a message board for Christians and looking for ways to heap insults, attacks and ridicule upon the participants? And they tell us to get a life! Sheesh.

He would just dig out some government "spin" material that denies this whole business, and post that as a rebuttal. Incidentally, the military doesn't scramble fighter jets to go look at falling space debris. They know quite well what is identifiable and what is not, or rather what is a UFO. That's what they scramble for.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 (UPI) - A large burning piece of a Russian rocket launched Feb. 28 re-entered the atmosphere over Oregon last night, lighting up the northwest sky - and the switchboards at United States Space Command in Colorado with calls from concerned citizens. Maj. Perry Nouis, spokesman for the Space Command, said (Thursday) the rocket piece was part of a Russian-built SL-12 and had been tracked so it's entry was predicted down to the time and place. Nouis said Space Command continually tracks more than 9,000 pieces of space debris as small as 6 inches long.

OK, folks, local news (8, KGW) Portland has footage, videos, of the lights. The local news is not pooh-poohing. Says maybe Russian rocket booster, maybe meteor fragments: scientists are not in agreement. Was seen by many people.Disappointing that nobody posted a text-based Link. If we have a chance we'll listen to some Art Bell tonight and see if we can hear any eyewitness reports.
