Wall Street Journal Y2K insert

Front page 8/81 Wall Street Journal COUNTDOWN TO Y2K: Although 57% of chief executives and chief information officers think Y2K bugs will be generally fixed by Dec. 31, vs just 17% who thought so in April 1998, many aren't taking chances, says a survey of 202 executives conducted this month by CIO Magazine. Among those polled, 21% plan to hoard canned goods, 27% plan to stockpile water, and 56% say they won't board a commercial airliner on Jan. 1.

Wonder what the other 43% think?

sorry the correct date is 8/31...(however 81' was a Very Good Year!)

Interesting. One wonders if those are the actual questions which CIO Magazine posed, i.e., "Are you planning on hoarding canned goods?"

I'd answer "No", since I'm not "hoarding" anything. As suggested on another thread, I'm establishing and implementing a forward-looking resource acquisition and storage paradigm. 8-}]
