Get out your library card !!!!

Had this great idea. I'm going to check out the library ! I may find a few books that may be of great interest in say, mid december. I of course have no intention of not returning these books when they are due, but if for some reason the library was not open the first part of january (use your imagination) I would just hang on to them and return them as soon as I could. I'm sure they would understand that it wasn't my fault they were closed. Just a thought. You may want to visit your library and pick out some light reading for the roll over.

I think the drive-thru return slot will be y2k compliant though :-) . Of course they might not be able to log into the computer to say that you returned the book.

ITSHTF, you won't be leaving your house. I hit garage sales and thrift stores for books because the ones I read are keepers. Books will be very important if society collapses.

I've already been making a (mental) list of books to borrow near the end of December.

Get a whole mess of blank paper and pens and write a book of your own!

You might as well take out some (or a lot) of their books, to read, or just to hold as "hostages", because in January you're going to get Overdue library fine notices for every book you've taken out since Kindergarten, and when the Library Delta Force Tactical Bookmobile Squad comes to your front door you'll need something solid to give them and make them go away. OK?

The public library is one of the greatest resources available to most of us (In addition to the internet, which is often available at the library!) Use it.
