Hello, Does anyone have experience with growing mangels for feed. I have a good crop coming on and would like to know how to store it, and if mangels can be stored through the winter. I do have a cellar which could be used...

Hi-I grow mangels to supplement my goat feeding and for the chickens. They will keep in the ground unless the ground freezes to the depth at which they are stored, then they turn to mush. The pat two years we have kept them in the root cellar, like potatoes or carrots. They did fine and kept about 4 months or so. Good luck
