" Some people -such as rural residents who can be stranded for days after snowstorms -may want supplies for a longer period, such as seven to 10 days, he said. "3 to 5, seven to ten.....whatever.

I have noticed the numbers are getting higher. But tell me what rural family ANYWHERE isn't prepared for 10 days?

Corrine,I'm so impressed...you've actually posted something ON TOPIC for a change! You go girrrrrl!

I think we will see him *slowly* move the suggestions upward for preparation. Doesn't want to alarm anyone. But he has said many times that it must not be ignored.

corrine.... Got to feed those that flush out of the metro's. I value Kosky's opinion less than the "blk/wht matter chickens leave laying in the barn-lot. At least it benenfits the garden.

I have been hearing all year on this forum that TPTB will increase the length of the proposed prep time. I don't believe it. JIT won't allow for it - if anything they should have started with a month and worked down to a week or two.

In my sleepy little very low crime rural town the Bored of Supervisors just decided that the supply list for that 2 - 3 day or 7 - 10 day snowstorm should include 62 bulletproof vests. Body armor.. the latest in ski wear. Could I get that T-shirt quote on something more... durable?
