come ON you guys, BIG DOG still needs an answer (so do I, so do YOU)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Sorry BD if you're pau (finished) already with this. I don't think you are though so I hope you don't mind if I attempt to keep it up in front. Your questions had meaning for me and I don't think I'm the only one. I wish I was able to really tackle each question one by one and to REALLY try to answer them. Unfortunately, the only answer to your questions came at it from a "debate" platform which, instead of addressing your queries, simply pointed to your "UNDERLYING ASSUMPTIONS". The reuttals there had underlying assumptions of their own. Sooooo...the questions STILL remain unanswered! I'll do the best I can on my own, and I'll keep you posted on what I find, but come on all you old timers -- this is something to really sink your teeth into. Don't leave a grngrl like me on my own with this. Mahalo Nui Loa for your Kokua

Special P.S. to King of Spain: Just in case you're beginning to chuckle at my rather naive postings, thought you should know that in a previous life I was actually the inspiration for "1001 Nights of Mud Wrestling". Of course, that was many centuries ago.....Aloha

There are no answers to the questions, only comments. I don't want to see Big Dog's thread removed and hidden away in the archives. I think it should be left on the board as a never ending thread. There will be a herd showing up here soon wanting and needing some answers. When they read BDs thread they will wonder why it took them so long to see the light.

I second the motion "Smell Smoke". Excellent idea, as proven by the sheer fact that Big Dog's questions remain un-answered.

And, by the way, this is NOT Hoff's or Flint's or xxx's problem. No sir, this is everybody's problem, starting with Big Dog himself, as he openly and intelligently admits.

Take care

OK, I'll bite; what questions? Where are they?

Ahhhhh, yes!!! And it truly makes one lament the decline of the classics....

Upon searching, I found BD's questions in the thread: The Simplicity of Y2K etc.

He asks hard questions. :-)

With the current volume of non-essential threads, and the information overload provided by the rest, what would be helpful would be a weekly or twice weekly thread that linked the "best of" TB2000 threads. Any volunteers?

The Simplicity of Y2K: I Just Have A Few Small Questions Left

-- Ashton & Leska in Cascadia (allaha@earthlink.net), August 25, 1999.

Maybe if the questions made sense, some thinking person might answer them.

They are like asking "the sun is running out of fuel. we don't know how much time is left. what is being done? why didn't we start sooner? why aren't "they" shouting from the rooftops about this potential disaster with an immovable date?"

If they didn't hang on such bad assumptions, they might get answers.

Yours was a only minor attempt by the flat earth society...oh where did i put that globe...

Have you seen the responses by that pompus jackass Russ?

I swear you could light him on fire, TELL him you lit him on fire and if the dense-boy didn't want to believe it he would say "You may tell me that all you wish. You are still wrong. My premise stands like a block of granite."

The block of granite is egg-shaped and sits atop a pencil-neck I think.

Why ANYONE is bothering with that dope I'll never know.
