Yes, this is my second time too. Last time I got Anne Franks Diary (which I'm yet to read), this time though, no idea! Katie of Digital Ink (http://www.misanthrope.org/katie) recomended The Story of B.

As for something completely inaporpriate (sp?!?), the 'special guest' is the Chief Executive of the British Airport Association so I was thinking about those well known books 'Fear of Flying' and 'The Worst Air Crashes in the World... Ever!'

This question cannot be answered. I know, because the same thing happened to me on two occasions, and I could come up with no solutions either time. My only advice is to be in Japan at the time of prize giving. It's a nice place too. Not that I went there, alas, funds did not permit - I just asked for some boring respectable books.

Nah, go for something that you will like :) Ok so your headteacher will see it when they hand it over (if that's the way you do it). Some suggestions: - Sophies World (it'll make you look like you are a depper thinker, and it's an interesting read too!) Camus - The Plague (it's a bit like a french Andromeda Strain)

I thought fear of flying was about sex!

I didn't know Fear of Flying existed. But seeing as it *is* about sex, i think it would make a perfect book for prize giving. Thanks! ;o)
