Bloomberg Radio's Y2K Focus

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I knew that Bloomberg has daily Y2K coverage, I just never tuned in at those times. Today, I heard the two-minute bite, which covered the recent Gartner Group report. If anyone was listening with half an ear, the news was alarming. Russia and India were said to be bound to fail and the next group of those that might be quite adversely affected included the U.S., Japan, Venezuala, etc. Yes, the U.S. was specifically named in the Bloomberg spot as having a high-degree risk of failure.

The next news piece was on great investments for the coming quarter and how the market is likely to go up and on.

Heard Bob Brinker today, and he is sounding very bearish. He sounded bearish last week, but he sounded more dismal today. Was adivising people to put their money into TBs, CDs, remain liquid.
