thanks scott for posting all the links. i cannot believe the rapidity of response from all parties involved. for the most part they have all been mum or spinning tales--i have never seen them spin faster other than the wastewater spill. makes me think it is true. i just want to know what all these same folks are going to say when the SHTF in January? oh well, sort of like the depression--who will ever remember who said what.

Scott

I love your site, but I don't like it that I can't grab stuff from it and post it here or elsewhere (linking your site, of course.)

If every site did that, we would end up having a hard time discussing breaking Y2K news.

Scott,

You many want to link your Y2K Today web-site Navy Pentagon Paper articles to a new sub-category on the TBY2K Forum...

Military/Pentagon Papers/Hot Topics (New) Threads

http:// www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-one-category.tcl?topic= TimeBomb%202000%20%28Y2000%29&category= Military%2fPentagon%20Papers%2fHot%20Topics%20%28New%29

So your pointers will be more subject specific and targeted.

(Fewer off topics subjects for your readers to wade through, too).

Diane: will do so ASAP. Dog Gone... not sure what you mean. Why can't you link to our site? I do it all the time. Feel free to e- mail me to explain what you are talking about.

Scott

I think what Dog gone means is that you can't copy and paste material from your site. It is possible but a "hassle". Of course that maybe your intention :o) Your formatting prevents it. There are very few sites I have seen that are like this. Yours is very unusual. Of course this prevents copyright violations.

Well that is my take on a Mac running Netscape 4.6.

Brian: this is the first I've heard of this. May be a technical problem or an idiosyncracy for Macs. All who've had this problem, please let me know what kind of operating system and browser you're using...

Thanks, Scott

Scott,

I have a Mac running OS 8.0 and Netscape 3.1 and your site "copy" is locked down to me too. That's why I rarely check it out or cross- post. (Always thought it was intentional).

*Sigh*

Assuming. We know what THAT means!

;-D

Diane: not intentional. I'll check with our geeks tomorrow and see what I can figure out.

Mac OS 8.5.1 running IE 4.01, can cut and paste from your site fine.
Good job, Scott, and thanks for being receptive.

Thanks A&L. Hope the weather's nice in Cascadia... always wanted to go there. May get the chance Jan. 1... -s-
