Alright, I was in the middle of a recording, and windows did a windows error that I had to restart the computer for. My question is this, is there any way to restore the recording to allow me to continue my recording of the game at the point of the windows crash, and if so/not, what happens to the inp file?

I think you can figure this out for yourself. start a test recording, move around a bit so you'll remember what you did, while playing cntrl-alt-del, Restart, run mame32, record again with the same inp file and see if your moving around a bit stays in the recording. I'm pretty sure it erases the inp file and stars a fresh recording.

I'm affraid you'll have to start over if a crash occurs in windows.
