My license tabs expire in Nov., is there anyway I can avoid paying the inflated costs?greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread |
My vehicle tabs expire in late November. Is there anyway I can avoid paying the inflated tab fees and wait until 1/1/2000 to register my vehicle at the $30 rate?

Jumping the gun, aren't we? Who says there is going to be a $30 rate next year. There's still an election between now and then.

It is this irresponsible mindset that causes Washington State's most important social and economic programs to falter.I suggest you buck up and act responsibily like the thousands of other tax payers in this state who have paid their car tabs at the present rate this year.
Besides, I have a feeling the $30 rate will never be a reality.

You will have to wait until January 1st to buy your tabs at $30. I suggest that you buy 3 (the limit) of the 3 day transport things you can put in your window. It may be cheaper to rent a car, or use public transport (horrors).Hey you government program lovers, buck-up your own bucks. Stop using my money to buy the dependancy of others. By the way I don't hear any compassion in your willingness to use the government for extracting my effort for things I don't believe in.

Here's a suggestion: Move to Alaska.
