Yippee!! Today at Costco I found 35 gallon water barrels for $15.99. Stuffed two in my little car and hope there are more when I go back.

I read a lot about Costco on these forums but we don't seem to have them in Indiana or northern Florida. Since I run back and forth ,can anyone tell me if they have them in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia,North or South Caralina, etc.?

Costco

One must be an educated consumer in order to save money at Costco. Many of the items they sell, particularly food products, are overpriced when compared to chain supermarkets.

Thanks for the Costco tip, off today on my lunch hour to see if So.S.F. has any in stock. My local newspaper Co.Co.Times had a Y2K article on 50 gal. water containers going for $30 & up, also generators are selling like hot cakes, a bldg. permit is required and recommends people getting a early start, cause permits & electricians are are starting to have a long waiting list. Last year I bought 3 cords of oak fire wood, lots of sterno type fuel instead of going the generator route. Judy

Thanks, Bingo.

I would put them in the category with Sam's and Walmart's then, not very good prices but may have something you can't find elsewhere or something on sale.

My shopping is done mostly at Yard Sales-R-Us,Auctions-4-U, Dollar Store, Sav-a-lot, Aldi's and Big Lots.

You're welcome Sue.

Best buys at Costco (Virginia): extra virgin olive oil, solid white tuna, "AA" batteries, anti-bacterial soap, ziplock bags, crackers, crushed tomatoes, pig ears, dog biscuits, plastic utensils.

Two of my favorite stores are Big Lots & the Dollar Store. Beware of food & medication sold at Big Lots! I'm talking products WAY past their primes.

Best Wishes,
