The e-mail provider is the United States Defense Information Systems Agency. Seems odd; why would this apparent lunatic have a National Security Council email address? Shades of the 'Manchurian Candidate?' Or simply an honest bit of consulting work? Or is the whole story an urban legend in the making? Diane? Chuck? Any hints?

On another board it was stated that the addy is an old address used by Furrow's father, who was in gov., I think military.

As has been stated elsewhere, had Furrow attacked a day care center in Israel, he'd likely have been dead from multiple gunshot wounds before he got off more than 1 round. Adults in Israel take personal responsibility for protecting children.
