Y2K is no big deal, right?

I think wrong! But aren't the banks a problem regardless? U.S. News and World Report in 1997 stated that the U.S. has printed a total of $450 Billion in cash and coins, with only $150 Billion remaining in the U.S. With 300 million people divided by that 150 billion, that equals $500 per person. That's it. Of course in the banks, and stock market there is $100 Trillion acounted for. So, what percentage of people could take all their money out of the banks without collapsing. What exactly are the banks so worried about? They just cried about a vacuum cleaner ad on the radio and made co. take it off. That was at y2k newswire site.

The banks are running scared because even if Y2K is a BITR, any hint of panic could wipe out available cash...pronto.
