Dude, I hope that your "etc" includes WATER. Lots, lots, and lots of WATER!! Also, maybe a few decades of stored food, since gardening is probably not going to be an option.

Hey, do any of those Vegas showgirls like to mudwrestle?

Most of the (million?!) visitors will probably be from California, and hopefully will be trying to get home. Most will be able to drive home to face whatever... (We have a different scenario to face on Kaua'i, with an expected 90%+ occupancy, and only airlines will take them all home!)

If I were in the old Mormon colony of Las Vegas, I'd probably plan to stay. I'd prepare to have food, water, and other necessities...I'd also get to know my neighbors real well... L.V. shouldn't be too cold, most of the time.

George--your right, it's too late in the game. This is true for millions of other people so don't feel so bad. Only feel bad if you don't have any water or food stored.

Hi George,

I live/work in the little gambling mecca 90 miles south of you. Since the area around the Vegas strip is nothing but getto, they'll probably have one hell of a riot there on New Year's Eve. If Y2K brings down the system they'll have something a lot worse just a riot. Are you looking for a place in the hills that you can bug out to? Say like in N/W AZ. maybe?

Think, Swimming Pool and Solar Distiler system.

You got to have water. Then food, then shelter......
