Any gun-grabbers heard of the JPFO?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Here's a head's up for anyone discussing "gun control" with any of the knuckleheads or useful idiots in the media, friends, relatives, etc. Check out Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (www.jpfo.org/).....look for "Gun Control, the key to Genocide.... "LETHAL LAWS". They did extensive research into many of the holocausts of this century and found out that major gun confiscation efforts in these countries paved the way for the extermination of millions of people. If they DGI after reading this info, they can always occupy their remaining time with " I LOVE LUCY".

Murder and armed home invasions in Australia up about 40% since their Government made things safer by confiscating firearms from law abiding. Funny thing they forgot to get the criminal's guns.

Rambo:

Could you please give me a url where I can find that statistic? I'd like to print this out for my records. Makes you wonder if there's a criminal element behind the gun grabbers, doesn't it? Not saying there is, just wondering.

NO URL, but here's an interesting letter to the editor out of a local Aussie newspaper.

Crime has increased dramatically in Australia since a government- mandated "buy back" scheme stripped the population of most firearms, Australians statistics state. Armed robbery increased 44 per cent from 1996 to 1997, Australian bureau of Statistics figures show. Crimes in general went up as well: Homicide up by 3.2 per cent; assaults by 8.6 per cent and unarmed assaults rose 21 per cent. When the government confiscated more than 460,000 lawfully owned firearms from private citizens three years ago, they claimed that it would "lead to a safer community". Instead, Australia has seen an increase in a stye of assault known as "home invasion" in which robbers knowingly attack an occupied dwelling because they have no fear of the home owners being armed. In contrast, a report in the United States by Professor John Lott and Davis Mustard of Chicago University shows that crime has decreased in areas where concealed weapons carry permits are available to citizens. It seems ludicrous that the public literally has to ask a home invader what they intend to do, and then let them go ahead. And afterwards perhaps the invader sues the owner of the property on which they have injured themselves. What happened to the law.

The above letter was named the Star Letter by the newspaper.

Well, as long as the Aussies are as docile as they are now, a couple of hundred invaders could basically occupy a whole city before the police would notice, for they are too busy busting dope smokers and arresting people for street drinking etc., for they are much easier to apprehend than an armed robber. This country is riddled with such an excessive amount of victumless crimes that the police has no time to protect the citizens. My dear American friends, don't let this ever happen to you.

A REPOST OF MINE:

There has been between 250,000 and 300,000 federally reported abuses of Federal Gun Control laws and our JUSTICE DEPARTMENT HAS PROSECUTED ELEVEN of them.

Let me restate that.

Our JUSTICE DEPARTMENT IS NOT PROSECUTING KNOWN FEDERAL GUN LAW CRIMES.

Please tell me why we need more gun control laws, when they REFUSE to prosecute the crimes at hand???????????

Do I need to tell you why?

-- OR (orwelliator@biosys.net), August 13, 1999.

The Justice Department is not interested in prosecuting the 20,000 plus gun laws on the books. Janet Reno has been quite clear that she believes the civilian population should be disarmed, therefore it is in the Dept's interest to play up any and all shooting incidents in order to create an atmosphere conducive to gun prohibition.

The elites in this country will be unable to remake society as they wish if the ordinary citizens are able to resist. This is why the Founders gave the People the right to keep and bear arms, and the current attitudes and agendas of our current corrupt system validate the Founder's wisdom.

-- Forrest Covington (theforrest@mindspring.com), August 13, 1999.

There are two types of people who want gun control:
1) Pussy wimp bleeding heart "save the children" "cain't we all 'jes get along" types -- sheeple.
2) Tyrants and potential tyrants who want a disarmed people -- all the better to allow them (the tyrants) to shove their agenda down our throats and/or up our nether regions -- be it political correctness or their peculiar religious morality -- wolves.
A potent, unfortunated combination for the very few of us who hve some common sense.

-- A (A@AisA.com), August 13, 1999.

Ironic, isn't it, that the Aussies would ever allow themselves to be disarmed -- a nation founded by convicts.

-- strange (doings@down.under), August 13, 1999.

Strange doings,

Not really. Convicts are used to having their daily regiments told to them. That's what they call "institutionalized", that's when con's get so used to the prison way of life (daily routines/orders)that they can't deal with life on the outside, because then they would have to make their own decicions. Perfect sheep, if you think about it that way.

"HEY YOU!! Turn in your guns!"...."Ok, if you say so."

Assume the process of evolution works as advertised. Assume, as shown by animal breeding, that 7 generations of selective breeding is enough to "create" a new breed of dog, cat, cow, horse, mice, or .... people.

Australia (in large part) was originally founded by exporting England's prison population - misfits, opportunists, people not wanting to follow the law or society's pattern, etc - so their ancestors (partially) would share those common traits (right?), but England's population would tend to "lose" those traits, wouldn't it?

The US and Canada, was for the most part, populated by misfits and individualists and oportunists and adventurers - from the original colonists of the 1600-1700's to the immigrants of the 1800's and 1900's who volunteered to leave the comforts of home to "look for opportunity" overseas. So it would appear that the US and Canada would (generally - up to the mid-1930's) be very individualistic and self-interested in improving themselves.

Probably even at the expense of the "leftover's" in Europe who desired security and comfort.

So now look at what we have: four generations since then of "social security" and "comfort" and "TV-movie-cable pay-per-view" lifestyles. Is there any wonder that we (collectively) are trending towards creature comforts?

By the way - in terms of culture influence on people: think about the Russians. Since the clans and czars of the mid-1400's, that culture has killed, tortured, and sent to Siberia all who protested or revolted. Is it a surprise they aren't comfortable with the implied threat of capitalism and freedom.

Before 1990, everyone who tried to become free in that society was marked for death. The only ones who survived were those who hid from the secret police, who got out of the way, and who stayed meek and quiet.

Bakunin -- still working for KGB? Or the Tsar? (i.e., totalitarians)

On the news today -- Buford scoped out several places (e.g., "Museum of Tolerance", "Skirball Cultural Center" ...) before his rampage. Even minimal security caused him to PASS BY those targets. He just happened across the center/school he "went off" on; it appeared to be an "easy" target. Same with the postman.

Again, I ask, what if the receptionist, teachers, whoever, had been carrying? Possibly only one or two at most injured instead of five or whatever. Possibly one dead "perpetrator." Possibly a still alive postman. Possibly an object lesson for other wackos. (Crime in Florida has dropped since it's been easy to get a carry permit.)

Right on JPFO!

Bokonon, what "A", myself, and a host of others are doing is sounding the alarm. What you are suffering from is denial.

Does the word 'holocaust' ring a bell???

Do you ever wonder how could 6 million humans march to their death? Do I have to spell it out for you???

D E N I A L

Thank you.

-- OR (orwelliator@biosys.net), August 13, 1999.

OR,

The irony that is just dripping from your post tempts me to just take a light hearted jab at it, but, ok, I'll give serious response.

The people who marched 6 million other people to their deaths, started out saying the same kinds of things; that there was lawlessness in the streets. The country was too soft on crime and that the existing government was unconcerned about the safety and security of the common man.
Then, when the Nazis came to power, they employed a rather broad definition of what constituted a criminal. One that included Jews, Gypsies, Poles, Homosexuals, etc.

An alarm needs to be sounded, alright. The question is, who is the bell tolling for?

AUSTRALIA: The Results Are In The following is a synopsis of an interview conducted by Ginny Simone with Keith Tidswell of Australia's Sporting Shooters Association. The entire interview is available as "Surprise, Surprise" in the "Archive News" section of:

http://www.nralive.com/ One year after gun-owners were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, including semi-automatic .22 rifles and shotguns, a program costing the government over 500 million dollars, the results are in...

A dramatic increase in criminal activity has been experienced. Gun control advocates respond "Just wait... we'll be safer... you'll see...".

OBSERVABLE FACT, AFTER 12 MONTHS OF DATA:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2% Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6% Australia-wide, armed-robberies are up 44% (yes, FORTY-FOUR PERCENT) In the state of Victoria, homicides-with-firearms are up 300% Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in homicides-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months) Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in armed- robbery-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months) There has been a dramatic increase in breakins-and-assaults-of- the- elderly At the time of the ban, the Prime Minister said "self-defense is not a reason for owning a firearm" From 1910 to present, homicides in Australia had averaged about 1.8- per-100,000 or lower, a safe society by any standard. The ban has destroyed Australia's standings in some international sport shooting competitions The membership of the Australian Sports Shooting Association has risen to 112,000, a 200% increase, in response to the ban and as an attempt to organize against further controls, which are expected. Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding society of guns". Their response has been to "wait longer".

I want to back peddle a little from my last posting

While there are some in the gun crowd that scare the bejeezus out of me, I don't believe that every gun owner is a potential Fuhrer. My brush, as the saying goes, was little too broad.
