Thom-

I like this image...a good choice on a first post, hopefully you'll get lots of good replies. As for my feelings on this:

Love the leaves. They look fantastic.....however, the bottom pedal of the flower seesm a bit too harsh, a pinch of dodge might have helped.

The composition is interesting. Are we seeing the full frame? I'm curious to know if this is cropped at all, and if so, why you chose to cro the way you did. Too me it's not right. It's on the very itsy bitsy thin line between symmetrical and asymettrical....a bit more to the left, it's centered, and it will work well. A bit more to the right, with a little more of the lower left of the bottom leaf visible, and it's ok. But you're somewhere in a murky area in between, where it's not quite either. If you can, I'd center it, because it would look a bit lopsided if the blossom was pushed more to the right.

A nice job though, I'm sure it's a delicous print (though I'm not fabulous about the cream/off-white/hint of blue tint to the pedals of the blossom...or is it just my monitor calibration?).

Thom, Nice job. I really like the leaves. I agree that it would be nice if all the petals had the detail of the upper left one. For my sense, the composition might be improved if the upper left leaf had a little more black space above it to balance the lower right black space. It would be nice if the upper right leaf was either cropped tighter or was complete. Thanks for posting it.

Thank you for the constructive criticism, This is a Fantastic group. Jason and Michael ~ this was printed full frame, the print far exceeds the post here. I have to balance a PC image with a webtv image and I hate compromise. Jason~ I think your monitor may be off . I dont see any green here or on my friends PC's Susie ~ I think I love you ~ LOL ~THOM~ ps Susie are you Irish ? LOL~ Just kidden
