I heard something about some predictions regarding August 13, 1999, according to the Aztecs or some such. Something about "a significant moment in the development of mankind". Does anyone know any more about this, or of any websites with information. I'd like to know if the world is going to end on Friday or not... :(

I haven't thought about the exact date in a long time, but the aztecs did predict the end of the world sometime soon, and the date you mentioned sounds familiar. However, even the weather people can't do much over a day or two. I would not worry about it, you would just die worried.

The 13th is the 'Aztec Day of Destiny', the Atzec linear calendar ends in December of 2012.

The "day of destiny" 8-13-99 was when the Aztecs had planned on finishing their calender to go past Dec. of 2012. To bad they were wiped out first. LOL
