Gobs of 55 gal blue water barrels in stock now at Roseville,Ca (N.E. of Sacremento ) $22.50..... phone @ 916-782-2880. Anyone can help ya. Not all Sam's have the same stock sheets, therefore mine in Mobile wouldn't show they still stock it! Bill Walton, didn't you teach them any better.

Now my buyer calls their buyer and get's some moving...or I pay first...we'll see..

Happy trails.

Jim -

Interesting. The few Sam's in SoCal that I've called all said that the barrels are a discontinued item. Wonder if I can get the Roseville store to ship (Sacto is a loooooong drive from San Diego).

Please be aware of the fact that these barrells are NOT of the same quality used by soda bottling plants. These have a tendency to be flimsy and will leak. On the other hand, they don't have any of that nasty syrup residue in them.

But, my preference would be for security, so I would opt for the syrup containers from pepsi, coke bottling etc. if you can find them.

Didn't look flimsy to me. I was actually impressed with the strength.

I filled them last night & don't expect them to leak.

BTY - You can drive up here from San Diego in probably less than 9 hours.

Maybe you can contact a trucking company who has a driver coming up to Roseville to drop off a delivery and they can pick up some barrels for you...just a thought. How about calling UPS and do a "will call?" You call Sams in Roseville, give them your credit card number, then call UPS and have them pickup them up and deliver them to your house?

I recently got the Sam's in Sylmar(suburb of LA) to order some barrels for us, and they had to bring in a whole truckload. Their phone number is 818-365-7710. Don't be balked by any shiftless employees; they do have them. What surprised me more than anything is we were told noone else had even requested them- little scary when you consider the vulnerabilty of LA. mike
