Well you didn't mention where in Canada, I can imagine that Crappy Tire and Radio Shack has anything you would want.

For light go 12 volt and charge from the car.

Cook with Propane.

Heat with wood

Good luck eh?

Joe

Welllll I am in Victoria BC so we are a country apart eh? Actually there has been little news from Quebec to the wetcoast. One would figure that Montreal would have a booming market for prep gear after the Ice Storm.

Don't think I could help you with a supplier. If you could give an idea of the awareness in Quebec I would be curious.

Heard a good one over here, they built brand new high speed ferries and launched them this summer. Well there are systems on the bridge that aren't compliant. Bloody stupid. Just wonder what other choice pieces of information are going to pop up. Generally Hydro, Telco, BC Government, are on top of the situation (I hope), the biggest problem would be Vancouvers waste water plant. It is brand new and a billion dollars invested. If they screw up on 300 million $$$ boats......

The awareness in Quebec is ZILCH.....so far I have come into contact with one other in Mtl.I would have thought after the icestorm more would prepare, just in case,It will not be a pretty picture.
