OT...to the Lurkers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just wondering how many lurkers have thought of posting, have almosted posted etc. but did not because of the flaming they have read on this forum? Would you mind posting at least once to be heard and counted?

Great point, Mumsie. Seriously, what harm can anyone do you with words?

If you are worried about security or job issues, I can understand. Otherwise, just use a hotmail, yahoo, whatever account and let us know what is on your mind.

ummmm....guess it's time to change my handle....

I'm not really a lurker anymore.....

I mostly just lurk. Just post every so often when I feel brave.

Most of the time I just lurk. However, if I have something to add I will post a response. I have NEVER had a reason to start a thread. I wish some other people on this forum whould show the same restraint. It's hard to read the important stuff when so much crap is piled on top of it.

Am addicted to this forum, but will stay with you guys through the

good and hopefully not the bad.

Just shy

I've been here since last December, have only posted a response once or twice. I have learned alot here and appreciate all of it. I can't stay away. I feel as though I live in two seperate worlds sometimes, everyday life where no one even thinks about y2k and here where there are GI's. My husband has done some work for Gary North (just up the road from us) and some others moving here to prepare. It so difficult to make decisions and stay focused on preparation. It is so hard for me to believe sometimes I want to block it out, but coming to this forum helps.

I post when I think I have something worthwhile to contribute. I've never let the idea of possible "flaming" or whatever to deter that. I have to admit though, that it seems as if many folks must spend hours a day thinking up retorts. I'm too busy for all that. Y2K will be here before you know it and with a job, family, Girl Scouts and Y2K Commuity Activism I have way too much to do already.

Great idea Mumsie! Where have you been? Stupid question, considering the number of children you have, LOL. Thought of you often and glad to know you're still with us. Hope all is well with your tribe. I've been too busy lately to participate much, but peek in when possible. Love hearing from our Lurkers and would enjoy knowing their thoughts more often, good luck and God bless all of our GIs!

Post occasionaly. Prefer to listen to debate. Of course have favorite posters. Some not too believable others make great sense. Keeps me GI. Also watch for updates happening--y2k or not. Not afraid of flames, just tracers.

Too busy to post much. Just gather the threads, take em n read em later. Lots of good info, lotta laughs and a stupifying number of gov shills. Beware, people... Be very wary.
