Compatibility of Sigma EX lenses with EOS 3

I would appreciate any comments by users on the compatibility of the new Sigma 28-70 /2.8 EX and 70-200 /2.8 EX lenses with the Canon EOS 3.

You'd be better off with an Elan II and real Canon USM lenses. The Sigma lenses may work on an EOS-3, but all bets are off as to whether or not they will work on the next (EOS-2, EOS-4?) Canon body update.

I just bought the new sigma 24-70 2.8 ex df and all the funtions do work with my eos 3., thought you might be interested in having a little more on the wide end. my first prints look sharp with good color and contrast, I really like the way this lens is built. AF is fast, little more noise than usm, looks like sigma has gotten their act together for this one.
