What is the part number for 55 gal water barrels at Sam's?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Preparation Forum : One Thread

Sorry to have to start a new thread on this, but I couldn't find it in the archives.

I'm alot more confident these days about the power staying on, but from what I've read lately, water and sewer are looking very bad in many parts of the country.

Thanks for your help!

This answer was given several weeks ago on the Yourdon forum. I don't have the info with me. "Sam's" was in the title of the thread. Use your find function under the edit menu. If you don't find it, post again in about a week and I'll have access to my files.

Lewis

This from the "information overload" thread: 55-gallon plastic water drums from Sam's Club (stock #968070) @ $22.99 each.

We went to buy them on Saturday in Cleveland and they were gone.

I found that the number given above is not correct any longer. Try #996421. I used this successfully last week.

No Sam's Clubs locally; I suspect that Costco/Price Club has kept them out of this market up to now. Has anyone tried to use that number at a Wal*Mart? One would think that they'd use the same warehouses and possibly the same SKUs.

Anyone have a problem with leakage on the Sam's barrels? A poster in the archive referred to it. Maybe I should just order from watertanks.com instead. ChriscoloumboATasean-mail.com baldrinATmailasia.com

Dang, wish I could just see these suckers up close
