China tells U.S. to cancel arms sale to Taiwan ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I had not realized that control over the Panama Canal or anything else established a relationship where we were not able to continue the same business as before, I could be wrong.......

If China tells our Government (all business) what and who we sell to.....

and we ignore them, might the Panama canal experience "Technical difficulty" as we try to use it ? etc...

It seems to coincidenal that the US turns over the canal DEC 31.I read a report that shows the canal is non-comply big time..IT WILL NOT work anyway.

It seemed like an acceptable reason for the canal not to work at convenient times, in between repairs, upgrades, tests.

"Well I suppose we could stop our testing, tell our workers to abandon tests and start over after you are through the locks on manual, but we will have to charge extra for the overtime we pay our workers to get us back on schedule.... or .. I am sorry, but due to the sorry state this was left in, no one can get through (except our ships of course)..
