Thanks Ed Yourdon

Really appreciate your website being back up when I crossed my fingers and checked it this morning. I just want someplace to read what different people are saying about Y2K, and I will sort out for myself what I think makes the most sense, and who sounds credible or not. Just want to reassure you that people like me ARE out here, wanting to hear whatever updates you are inclined to offer, even as we know that WE, not you, are responsible for how we process your information and what we do from there. Some people always want to shoot the messenger; the rest of us realize that the messengers are often the braver souls among us.

Kristi,

Thanks for your kind words. I've been recuperating from walking pneumonia for the past week, and have not had the energy to do any updates or other Y2K projects. However, my web site does seem to have gotten itself shifted over to the new ISP after a couple of days of initial confusion. Hopefully I'll be back to normal in another week or so.

Do take care Ed,

I've had walking pneumonia a couple times and the ONLY thing that zaps it (beyond medication) is... rest.

Relax well.

Really Ed- rest up. sorry to hear you've been ill- was wondering where you'd been since you last "surfaced". Been hearing about some very resistant pneumonia bugs recently- don't overdo it- had it twice back in the mid-80's- got it the second time cause i didn't rest up long enough from the first time........be well.

Ed- I'd like to add my hearty "welcome back" from the group. If you'd like some time relaxing in a warm place, you're welcome to come and visit us in Kauai. (Grandkids will ge gone in less than 2 weeks).

Thanks for anything you feel you can put back up. Your place was the one place I felt very comfortable sending folks to learn about Y2K without having to worry that I may have missed reading some real kooky stuff in a tucked away alcove.

Hello, Ed.

Hope your recovery is quick.

Now that you have a new ISP, I'll extend my offer again to furnish you with an online search capability for your web site. All I need to know is if you are able to use CGI programming in Perl.

Let me know if you are interested (I don't have your email address).

Best regards, Richard =======
