Look at gas prices relative to population density and a pattern of profit control will emerge that might amaze you. There can be as much as a $.50 per gallon spread, with the higher price found in the large metropolitan areas.

As our daily news proclaimed, regular gas at the cardlock in Happy Camp topped $2.00 last week. I believe it is closer to the $1.76- 1.80 mark in my nearest burgh, but then we have a whopping THREE gas stations in the valley.
