Don't know if it was y2k related but I live in Cobb County Georgia. A section of which is close to the area blakout. It included Turner Field where many thousands were on hand to see the Braves play. I heard on WGST AM radio that they had gotten the power back on but it had left those people there in the dark for a number of minutes. My own residence lost power for a spilt second as they switched lines or whatever it is they do.

Ian Pundit mentioned something about being the perfect sign to commemorate the killings a day before.

This and the man who had been shot, during Barton's rampage, at his desk while playing a hand of solitare on his PC, and who had died there in his chair with the computer flashing at him to signal that it was his move.

A fitting Y2K analogy I think, eh?

Computers/Technology/Modern Life sends a disturbed man over the brink, gives us a message of what the side effect of such life is, and then waits for humans to make the next move.

I'm not a religious man by nature by I can't help irony of it all if in fact there is a higher power than that of man.

Kind of reaping what you sow in the cycle of playing god.

Thanks Boondoggle, for the rapid response. Yes, indeed there is a higher power than man.

It's a part of the twelve steps in AA, not that I am a member. ;-)

Just read it elsewhere on the forum...
