It's again ok to use "Y2K" in the Omaha World Heraldgreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Earlier this month, the World Herald "sanitized" a story about a glitch that occurred during a Y2K related computer system change over. This was purportedly because Y2K is a "coined abbreviation" etc. Apparently for the World Herald, use of "Y2K" in relation to events that really are not really related to Y2K is ok....http://pe.omaha.com/Omaha/OWH/StoryViewer/1,3153,193870,00.html
