How can I get a record of my files?.. I have been denied credit for a credit card.

Send a #2 cheque to Experian or Equifax and request a copy of your credit file and tell them where you have been living for the past 3 years. You can obtain their addresses in the yellow pages etc.

This was in a national newspaper a few years ago sent by a sacked employee (uk) confimed as true by bank. For information only on how system works. not to be used in anything which may not be strictly within the law.

Barclay Card Credit Scoring

If you want a loan, but keep getting turned down, why not lie? It goes on all the time, and it's a great way of getting revenge on the banks! The details here apply to Bardaycard. But apply in general terms to other banking organisations as well.

When you apply for any loan, you fill out an application form. The details on this form are "scored". Some guestions have a score attached to the answer. These answers and scores are detailed here. Other questions are irrelevant!

Notice the importance of claiming you have a home telephone. It is never checked! CCJs (county court judgeinents) are checked. A search is done on your home address. NOT YOUR NAME! If your address has CCJs against it, you may find problems

Computer contractors should nQtice that claiming to be the managing director of your own private firm is not going to help you get a loan. Better to be a senior manager working for the government.

If you need a large loan, try for two smaller ones, rather than one big one. Hi

Somebody was asking about info on barclays credit scoring and where the old question was. It's listed in the comments here.

In regards to the Barclays/Barclaycard scoring information below, can someone tell me what newspaper it appeared in and when?

Thanks.

Regards, Ade.

As far as I know, this information has never been published in a newspaper.

I remember the article. As far as memory serves me it was the News of the World and at least 4-5 years ago. Also, I recall a follow up with banks denying that this is how it is done.
