Where can I buy a reasonably priced Aladdin oil lamp? I hear they are the best

Catherine, you might have better luck asking your question at the: TimeBomb 2000 Preparation forum

Catherine, I was wondering that myself not too long ago and I tell ya I couldn't find any that were reasonably priced anywhere. You might have better luck than me however. I did manage to stock up on the table oil lamps and oil lamps that have the wall hangings. They are reasonable in price (about 10.00 average) and they might just have to do. The aladdin lamps, from what I understand, put off as much light as a 60 watt bulb. I could be wrong on that though. So in that sense, I would think they might be hard to come by. I have heard that Jack's country store has approximately 800 alladin lamps in stock. This maybe the only place to get them now. 1-888-665-4989.

or browse thier catalog on-line

I am not connected to the store in anyway.

I bought mine at my local ACE Hardwear store. They didn't have any in stock but ordered it for me along with extra mantles and chimney. It took just a few days to get it in.

I'd like to find a source for *chimneys* at a reasonable price.

Paying twenty bucks for a couple of pennies worth of glass from *China* isn't my idea of fun.

Or -- and I know it exists but can't find it anywhere -- an adapter to use *cheap* chimneys.

I have an Aladdin, Genie 2, which I fire up from time to time. They put out a beautiful, warm light. Flat wick lamps produce significantly less light than the Aladdin.

Aladdins are sold by the cart full on Ebay's auction site. Many good deals there. I know folks who've bought & sold there with excellent results.

Disclaimer: I do not sell, nor have I ever sold (or purchased) any product on Ebay or any other auction site.

Best Wishes,
