Playing VCDs on Panasonic DVD Players

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

After reading a lot of the FAQ, it seems like there's some mix opinion about playing burned CD-R VCDs on Panasonic DVD Players. I am one of those unlucky people who is struck with a Panasonic DVD Player. Is there anyone out there has sucessfully burned a CD-R VCDs and actually played on a Panasonic DVD player? If so, what brand of CD-R or CD-RW did you use?? Someone told me Sony CD-RW with Silver surface might work, is it true?

I used Memorex CDRW, and it worked for the first time I burned it. After I erase my CDRW disc to burn a different movie on, it won't recognize the disc. I have Panasonic DVD-A310.

Try Princo Silver/Blue 74Min CDR, after trying about 6 other brands I found that this one actually works. All of the disk I burned play but the player hangs once in a while when stopping and restarting several times, not a big problem, just turn it off and on. You can get these disks from http://www.ioproducts.com/ioprod/cdrmedia1.html Good luck... Roman

I have the A310. Verbatim R/W works for me, but the Verbatim R doesn't.
