I changed my mind about doing a reply to Cory's challenge. I got one line done and could'nt figure out what to say! DUH!

Of course you don't know what to say: there is no way to answer his challenge. Thank you for your (belated) confession.

I assume this is Heller spoofing Cherri's ID. Do the Sysops only think this is bad when pollies do it?

Could someone please tell me what Cory's challenge is?

Mark,

Cory asked in a past WRP for anyone with a good Polly argument/perspective to submit it to him and he'd run it in a future WRP.

Y2k Pro,

Yep, it bothers me too. I'd personally like to see this thread deleted. I don't think Cherri wrote the words above and personally I was looking forward to reading her perspective regarding 2yk.

So, Pro...we agree, I guess : )

Should we invoke the "3 Delete Rule" where posters ask that the thread be deleted?

Mike

It wasn't challenge, it was more an invitation. WRP 106 has Bruce Webster and InfoMagic going at it. Bruce made a good case for things being fixed or bypassed.

I believe it is possible but I'm afraid that the longer that the denial persists, the harder it will be to fix things.

A later WRP has Arnold Trembly explaining another semi-polly view. Arnold is at about a 2 on the c.s.y2k 5 point scale (where InfoMagic is at a solid 8.)

While the polly arguments have been mostly wishful thinking and, frankly, bluster. I suspect that there are solid points and somewhere there is someone who will take a stand.

No, I have never spoofed anyone's ID. That's the way the scum from the Bonkers forum try to confuse everyone.

Well Sysops, who is it? Do you have the courage to out a Doomie?

-- Y2K Pro (y2kpro1@hotmail.com), July 27, 1999.

Kicking Cherri when she's down is Ray's schtick, and Ray is active tonight. I think the culprit is obvious. And no, no moderator would *ever* criticize Ray for anything, no matter how sleazy.

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), July 27, 1999.

Let's bypass the attempt at degrading Cherri and focus on the original request, an in depth analysis by someone who is a polly and can come close to cory's requirements of qualification to respond. I for one would certainly be interested in reading any and all responses.

Sounds like Cherri to me. Just another Polly full of hot air and no substance. Don't bother looking for reason from someone so far in denial.

I think that Flint should answer Cory's challenge. How about it, Flint ol' buddy? Plenty of people here and elsewhere would love to see anyone produce a well-reasoned and comprehensive optimistic take on y2k. Do you think you're up to it?

To no surprise of anyone, apparently not..

Well... Y2K Pro,

1) Cherri has not contacted me and asked for a delete. Since she has in the past, and I have done so, if shes upset, she knows how to find me.

2) It is NOT Ray, but someone using an AOL proxy. (Several DB trolls like to do that, but in fairness, so do *many* plain ole AOL users).

3) Now YOU... Y2K Pro... have an interesting trolling history. Would you like it to come out? At your verified request, Id be happy to share.

Or... then again... NOT. Waste of time and energy, IMHO.
