y2k tee-shirt's

My brother visited me last night. He came down from Pine city MN, to me here in Mpls, MN. He brought me a t-shirt, it said, in HUGE letters- Y2K, and below that it said, in normal sized text-"Who's ready, and who's toast"

Did I mention he's a department manager for the Pine city Wallmart?

He brought me the shirt because they had leftovers from their flea market, yup that's where they had to sell them. Why, you ask? Because Wallyworld refused to sell/carry them because they had the word "toast".

This is straight dope right from my brother, he's been with w-mart for 7 year's, he is not lying.

I'm wearin' it to work Monday.

Want one (dozen?).

Unless I run across someone in the supermarket with a food cart that looks like mine (rare) I can't recognize fellow GIs. Would wear that shirt every day that it might help me find likemindeds.

Comercialism, profit, who cares. Have ordered up to 100 shirts at a time for my car club but am sure someone out there can do better than I. T-shirts anybody? Hell this is worth a thread of its own.

Have you seen the 010100 line of clothing on sale at JC Penneys? The socks and the suspenders especially struck me funny.

I have a shirt that says "Y2K" is huge letters,

then below in normal size "Panic Now, avoid the Rush".

I also has a cartoon of someone trying to use a computer on a blasted landscape.

I think I have a business card for the person who sold it, I will post it later.

One I would like to see:

"I got all our systems Y2k compliant, and all that I got was this crummy t-shirt."

Someone gave me this idea for a tee shirt...."I'm not fat, I'm stocking up for Y2k"
