Finally got vcds burnt correctly

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I used the Winoncd 3.6 by Cequadrat and my dat files are burnt correctly to the mpegav folder. It could be that the Xing Encoder burns slightly incorrect whitebook std vcd 2.0s. Some people claimed to have burnt vcds correctly with the AdaptecEZ. For me and may others, it puts the dat files in the segment folder.

Anyway, the Winoncd 3.6 was very tolerant and allows you to squeeze 74 minutes of video on one cd. The quality was near vhs quality when I captured original vhs tapes with an s-video vcr.
