i know i,m gonna get the flame thrower.BUT remember the country was called too prayer? collective=prayer.was it not a miracle'the low loss of american lives-lost? didn,t GOD honor our prayer,s? HE knows we,re not perfect, but what FATHER isn,t touched'when his children humble themselves' & ADMIT we need your HELP.AND LET,S NOT PRAY SELFISHLY'let,s include ALL' MANKIND.surely GOD can be touched with the feeling,s of our infirmities.the B-IB-L-E. promises=GOD is close to the HUMBLE but FAR from the PROUD. what can we lose? we.re being TESTED.--ARE we STILL 1 NATION [UNDER=GOD?]

al,

Your starting to piss me off, and that takes quite a bit. What loving god could possibly want aprox. 600,000 woman and children to starve to death directly from US sanctions against Iraq? Use another analogy please.

why do we blame GOD?--can the clay'argue with the POTTER? THERE WILL NEVER BE PEACE ON EARTH' UNTIL the PRINCE of PEACE-RETURN,S. in the MEANTIME [PRAY] IT,S HARD TO BE=HUMBLE--BUT NO OTHER WAY. and let,s not FORGET all the starving children in applachia. the ghetto,s.the border town,s. YOUR neighborhood.

I did not blame God. I blame our leaders. I blame ourselves for choosing these leaders. I understand to have free will, we have just that. There is no miracle in having the power to annihalate an opponant from an untouchable distance. Only a foreign policy of "bomb em".

I wonder what the pilgrim,s. who came to our shores' would think of this nation-to-day?/ they sought religious freedom'/seems, like we,ve come full-circle/ we are tyrranized/ but this time i think it,s because we,ve gone so far from religion, GOD blessed this nation for so long, but i fear we,ve let prosperity become our ONLY desire. i think we need to go back to the drawing board.''SIN is the reproach of any NATION. we have a whole generation that have never heard of the word=REPENT.A loveless=society.REAPING A WORLDWIND. i hate to say it, but i fear we,re in for a lesson' in MANNER,S to our GOD. AND BELIEVE ME I AIN,T PERFECT but i TRY.i,m very sad.especially for our children who have no idea of the TRUTH of this nation,s humble beggining.

dogs,

Why don't you get the fuck off this board and start a church instead? You want to proselytize fine, but I for one am sick of reading your religious rantings.

Oh my, did we hit a "button?" Oh, I'm sorry. Gotta run, I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date.

-- Procopious (whynot@zog.net), July 23, 1999.

Al-d don't even go there... Iraqi children are still suffering from our "wonderful" depleted uranium artillery shells we used over there. The US really is the Nazis of the 90's.... GRRRR.....

growlin' at the mailman...

Now I'm no theologian and I have my frequent lapses of faith (being something of a doubting Thomist), but maybe, just MAYBE, our prayers are being anwered ALL THE TIME, CONTINUOSLY, EVEN. Maybe if we just stopped yelling and screaming at God, we'd be able to LISTEN MORE CLOSELY and HEAR His subtle and profound and even humorous answers underneath the din of all our mundane, self-centered lives.

Don't ya know how elated God must be to have Al-d as one of his spokesmen.

the Gulf war is not a good thing to use ,We shot any thing that moved, the only reason we took so many captave is that we were running out of ammo and our rifles were overheating , so dont tell me that it was such a great thing , we were scared so bad that we were going to kill as many people that we had to to come home alive ,.

THE POINT was PRAYER, not politics.i don,t think bitterness & hate will get us what we need.niether will fear.politics won,t change much on a permament basis.you can,t change people by politics alone=it,s a change of HEART that,s needed.the bottom line is WE,RE not as in control'as we like to think. so WHO is in CONTROL?

First, I'm with yeeach, and dog. I like dog--always eatin' or growlin' at the mailman, or watchin' the boy eat, or snoozin.' It certainly adds a little humor to this house of crazies.
