Russain Fisheye len with EOS1n

Dear Keng Hor and gentleman, I have owned this len (Russian fisheyen 15mm) for quite some time. I was using this len together with my EOS 50 . So far it was fine with my EOS 50 set under manual mode, I could adjust shutter speed accordingly. Recently, I have upgraded to EOS 1N. Surprisingly, when I mount the fisheye onto EOS 1N during one of the outdoor shoot, the camera was incompetent to do metering, I couldn't change my shutter speed as well! After I mounted back my EF28-105mm len to the camera, the manual mode works again. I tried to change the len back to fisheye, the camera was still not function with this russian len. With disappointment, I had verified the len at home and it works perfectly alright with EOS 50. All I can say, after shooting 2 rolls of film with EOS1N, this is my only disappointment. The rest of the camera features have met my expectation. Keng Hor, knowing that you own the Russian fisheye as well as Canon system, your opinion please?

It is known that the fish eye lens does not work with the EOS 1N and may spoil the mirror. Searh the archieve of EOS mailing list for more info. You can also read more on one of its regular contributor WJ's homepage.

I have Zenitar 16/2.8 on EOS 1V and this combination works fine.
