I have just purchased some 30 round magazines for a Ruger mini-14 my friend owns. The magazines are from U.S.A. magazine. They seen to be very thin as they bend easy. We used them recently & 1/2 of them jammed!!Can anyone recommend any other brand that would feed more reliable?? We had to "bemd ' the lips a little to enable them to feed.

Thank You in advance......Richard

Throw away the USA mags, they are junk. Get some PMI mags, Precision machine inc. Closet to factory mags out there.

Richard,

Re: above post, USA mags are junk,YES. Spend the extra money and buy factory mags, you already got burned spending good money , now, step up and buy some piece of mind!!! Need help in finding, my email is real. I can send you to some great boards, I just missed some factory mags just posted two hours ago, four factory's 20 and 30's for $250. Deals are out there if you are paying attention. Yes, PMI's are the next best. Hard to find though. Hey, if anybody has a problem with gun control - use BOTH hands!!!!!

Check out a publication called Shotgun News. Your local book store may carry it. Lots of suppliers for mags. Do a search on the 'Net for mini-14 mags, lots turns up. Yes they are heavy gauge and far better than what you have now. Factory mags will cost you $70.00 apiece, if you can find them. Better yet dump the Mini-14 and get an AR15, more parts available, mags run about $25.00 a piece. Keep the mini for a backup rifle.
