Is there any truth to the rumors that Ed Yourdon has left the country or is changing his name because his predictions have not come to pass?

well, yes, it makes sense to me. I mean don't you know that the Pope is really an atheistic Jewish KGB agent who is working with the Chinese secret service to spread nuclear proliferation into poor third world nations so that he can use religion as an opiate to bolster the profits of the Western Banks that prop up the Soviet Union, and that the Pope's divisions are poised to take over the world from Italy once the infrastructure collapses due to CIA placed y2k bugs in the world's systems, and that this will Usher in a 100- world government that will impose marital law on all single people?

some people just don't believe the facts when they are so clear.

Is it true that John-John just did a Valentich?

He's actually been seen recently by reliable sources just outside Roswell New Mexico. As our first interplanetary ambassador for Y2K awareness, he is required to travel the solar system preaching to the uninformed interplanetary dolts who are much like yourself in that they haven't a clue. And yes his spaceship is Y2K compliant, err ready.

See you on the other side. Don't come looking for help at my door.

Is it true that a 100+- meter meteor will be interpreted as a "bird" headed for Moscow during the Leonoid meteor shower in November and cause pro reactive measures resulting in the discharge of retaliatory strikes, erstwhile the Japanese, surgically disguised to cosmetically ape Chinese Scientists, will pre detonate the Neutron device currently stored in an above ground repository near a major Chinese city with a M88 suitcase nuke stolen from the Iranians last month.?? And the new geoanthem will be a rendition of the old favorite "God save the Queen"?

Is it true that all the Pollies at the Debunker site actually have the wellfare of all humanity at heart and that is why they work so hard to discredit any *bad* information leaking out? Is it true that you hate Ed Yourdon, and always have, because he told you bad news?

-- Gordon (gpconnolly@aol.com), July 17, 1999.

"Is it true that you hate Ed Yourdon, and always have, because he told you bad news?"

Gordon - I think the operative word here should be "predicted", as in EY predicted bad news.

In the prediction department he's currently batting .000. This doesn't necessarily mean that his predictions for the rollover itself and the ensuing period are invalid, only that his track record heading up to the big day is not peachy.

[X-Files mode on]

As an aside - EY and "Norm" kinda disappeared from the forum at roughly the same time. Coincidence?.......

It's all true--in an alternate universe. Alternate universes about. Read PACIFIC EMPIRE by G. Miki Hayden--the story of a Japanese victory in the Pacific from JoNa Books.(Check with Amazon--great book, actually--on last summer's NYTimes reading list.)

Most people do not realize that Hitler almost won WWII and would have if he had not made several incredibly stupid decisions including: the invasion of Russia not giving adequate consideration to the severe winters, falling for Churchill's ploy so that he wasted time and resources bombing English cities, his failure to invade England so that this staging area was available for the future invasion of Europe, letting England escape from Normandy beaches in 1940 so that they could fight again, and his failure to listen to his Generals right before D Day so that his troops were not properly deployed to repel the Allied invasion. His incompetence led to his defeat. Now we are stuck with socialism which is still better than Nazi control.

-- rev.ganjaman (Rev.ganja man@subgenious.com), July 17, 1999.

I have only one thing to say. It ain't gonna be the doomers OTW (of this world) who fuel a y2k panic, it's gonna be the pollies, DGI's, DWGI's OTW.

That is all.
